South Asia Rubber & Polymers Park (SARPOL) is a fully integrated Industrial Complex, setup on 95 acres of land at Domjur, around 1.5 Km from NH-6 near Dhulagarh in Howrah, West Bengal. The Industrial complex is the upcoming MSME hub of Rubber & Polymer Industries with ready to use power, water and other amenities. The units will have access to some common facilities like IT Center, Training Center, Design & Product Development Centre, Common Lab Testing etc. About 200 units are proposed to be set up within the park with an expected investment of Rs 1500 crores which is likely to generate employment opportunities for approximately 10,000 nos (direct) and 30,000 nos (indirect) which will contribute hugely to the economic growth & make West Bengal an epicentre of Rubber & Polymer Industry in Eastern Region of India.

Objective

The aim of SARPOL is to boost the production of Rubber, Polymer and allied products. The North Eastern Region of India is the major producer for Rubber. West Bengal has a strategic location advantage, is also a gateway to North-East India and South-East Asia and acts as a hub for shipment to all over India and other nations. The Rubber based products produced can be used in the shipping industry, railway industry in the shock absorption function etc.

Project Associates

The Project is implemented by South Asia Rubber & Polymers Park (SARPOL) under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 & is under Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Scheme (IIUS) from the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It is approved under SAIP project, Department of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and Textiles (MSME & T), Government of West Bengal. The project is nurtured by West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation Ltd. (WBIDC), through its various assistance programmes. The Project management consultant is I-Win Advisory Services Ltd.
